We were assigned the task of designing and detailing a multistorey industrial stair tower — but with one major challenge: there were no structural or architectural drawings available.

All we received was a basic stick diagram, with no section sizes, connection details, or stair specifications.
That meant our detailing and engineering teams had to develop the entire structure from the ground up, transforming a concept into a complete, buildable model.

Design and Coordination

Our first goal was to interpret the stick diagram and visualize a structure that would meet both functional and safety requirements.
A detailed 3D model of the stair tower was created and submitted for engineering validation, ensuring compliance with load-bearing and fabrication standards.

Once the design was validated, the project moved into the fabrication detailing phase, where every bolt, plate, and weld was defined with complete precision.
Close coordination between the detailing and engineering teams helped maintain accuracy across all drawing deliverables.

Addressing Environmental Conditions

Since the stair tower was intended for outdoor installation, environmental factors became a major consideration.
The design had to withstand varying wind loads, which could significantly impact the stability of an exposed structure.

Field Challenge: The Anchor Bolt Issue

As fabrication neared completion, a challenge arose during the Anchor Bolt (AB) field survey — one of the anchor bolts had been misplaced on-site.

Rather than letting this issue delay the project, our engineers analyzed the situation and proposed a reliable fix.
The misplaced bolt was replaced with post-installed anchors, ensuring both structural reliability and project continuity.

This quick and practical solution allowed the project to stay on schedule while maintaining safety and compliance.
